The team at CEPA is made up of research and communications professionals, administrative and support staff, headed by an Executive Director. The research team is multi-disciplinary and aims to combine expertise in a range of subjects, including development studies, economics, international relations, law, languages, political science, public affairs and sociology. Members of the research team have strong field research skills and experience of using qualitative and participatory research methodologies as well as in quantitative analysis. Members of the research team are grouped into programmes, but they also engage in a number of cross-programme activities.
The research team is supported by an Administrative and Finance team and a group of dedicated support staff that take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the organisation and the contractual arrangements with clients, monitors the finances of the organisation and implements CEPA’s quality management system. Within this team, a group of communication professionals manage CEPA’s website, publications and resource centre.
A senior management team comprising the Executive Director, the Deputy Director Administration and Finance, and the Coordinators of all Programmes, are responsible for taking key management decisions. Management adopts a consultative style, and the structure of the organisation is kept as flat as possible.
The CEPA team works in close collaboration with a network of associates and experts both nationally and internationally, on specific projects, programmes. CEPA periodically hosts interns for short-term visits.
