Poverty Alleviation through communication: A mobile library and information service

The Centre for Rural Development (Sangrama) a CBO established in the 1980s submitted a proposal and was selected for funding from the Clients Fund 2004.

The initiative seeks to establish a revolving information supply network for ten villages in the Rasnayakapura GS division, Nikaweratiya, Kurunegala. These villages are those that were selected for a community development plan spanning 2002 - 2007.The Innovation Fund    grant is utilised for the communication component of this plan.
